Welcome to the official Libertinesque blog...

Welcome to the official Libertinesque blog, brought to you by Libertinesque, makers of couture clothing from sexy to fetish. We want to share as much information about our products with you as possible, so we've set up this site to answer all of your questions. Of course please feel free to contact us directly with any questions, or visit our official website for more information as well.

Libertinesque provides quality collections of clothing for both men and women. We have spent a great deal of time researching the highest-quality products, and more importantly, finding what we like through our own personal experience. Being interesting and different is important to us, so the clothes we have chosen represent the cream of designer fetish wear. We proudly feature French designer Patrice Catanzaro, whose breathtaking collections are quite irresistible and stylish, yet very burlesque and quite wicked.

We hope you will find the information presented here useful. We welcome your questions, comments and suggestions for new articles. Thank you for visiting us and we hope you will check back often.

Love life, indulge yourself and above all, have fun!

Very simple and very clever

5 in 1 Tube Dress…..

Patrice has done it again!  He has taken a very simple design which has been around for a long time – the Tube dress – and brought it bang up to date using his fabulous fabrics.  My personal favourite is the Sequin version, I love it!

Being able to wear the same dress in 5 different ways makes it the best bargain you can find….long dress, short dress, long skirt, short skirt and strapless top.

What I also love about it is the fact that those of us who need a little private support :) can wear it happily under 3 of the 4 fabric choices.

A dress for all occasions, for all shapes, and for all pockets!  It’s called Belle de Nuit and prices start at £42 so it’s not too ruinous. One for the Christmas List I think….

You missed a treat…..

Kim at Club RubClub Rub, London on Saturday night was a feast for the eyes.  Fantastic outfits, loads of people, and a great show.  You should have seen Kim – she looked wonderful in a red latex coat dress edged with white with red stockings and her trademark hat.  Stunning!!

Representing the Libertinesque show was one of our favourite customers who has had a custom made Matrix coat in black PVC.  Patrice Catanzaro made it especially for him because he is 6ft 8in tall and he wears 4 in platforms making him a ‘party height’ of 7 feet tall!  I must say he looked very tall and elegant and was clearly delighted with his new coat.

The Fuel Girls

Fire and Air Show from The Fuel Girls

Our new sponsorship opportunity……..

A couple of years ago the ultra sexy, fire-breathing, rock & roll dance and stunt show group – The Fuel Girls – approached Patrice asking if they could wear his collections for their shows.  Having worn out all the clothes he gave them, they approached Patrice again and the culmination of the discussions has resulted in a sponsorship deal with Libertinesque who will be sponsoring the Girls for the coming year.

They’ll be wearing the Clémentine collections for their new stunning aerial show “Fire and Air” as well as the black laqué collections for the raunchy stage routines.  The Girls have a huge following all over the world and will be touring the UK and the USA during 2011 with Libertinesque as their clothing sponsors, appearing at motor shows, FMX rallies, rock concerts and many VIP parties.

They are wicked and wild so keep watch for their shows.

Is That Latex?

What to wear when it’s the Club RUB 12th Annual International Rubber Awards on October 16th  and you don’t like latex but want the look!?

Here at Libertinesque our designer Patrice Catanzaro has a unique fabric called “laqué” which looks likes rubber (unpolished) but it’s warm, stretchy and fits like a second skin just the same as latex but it is much easier to wear. It’s almost maintenance free!

The Frenchman’s designs are quite at home in any fetish or kinky club and have been seen in a fashion show on the stage at Club RUB in February 2010.  In fact, Club RUB is the ideal venue to show off these fantastic shiny creations and no one may ever know it’s not rubber!  No excuse not to attend just because you don’t want to or can’t (allergy) wear rubber!

Men’s Laqué T-Shirt

Continuing on with our men’s theme, next up we have the men’s laqué t-shirt. Some of you may think a t-shirt is just a t-shirt, but these t-shirts are extra special.

First, let’s talk about the fabric called laqué. It’s a light, stretchy, super-breathable fabric that’s more comfortable than cotton (try it and see!). It never loses its shape, gets saggy, or wrinkled. And on top of that it has a sexy wet look. Did I mention that it’s also machine washable? So when you take this fantastic fabric and make a t-shirt out of it, you’re definitely not going to end up with your garden-variety M&S t-shirt.

Laqué t-shirts are designed to be form-fitting. You’ve been spending a lot of time at the gym, so why not show off what you’ve got? There’s nothing nicer than a toned or muscular physique wrapped in smooth sexy fabric – what a gorgeous present to unwrap. And if you haven’t gotten that six-pack just yet, don’t worry. The wet-look of laqué is very flattering – the curves and shadows of the shiny fabric are very complimentary.

If you’ve decided that the laqué t-shirt is for you, there are a variety of styles to choose from. Designer Patrice Catanzaro has come up with three different t-shirt styles for a variety of different body types. We’ll go over each one here so you’ll know which is the right one for you.

The V-Neck is a naturally dressy style. You’ll see this style for men from designers such as Calvin Klein and Giorgio Armani. Some see the v-neck as more of a European style, particularly if it’s form fitting. A slightly looser fit works for a V-Neck as well, so it works for a variety of body types.

The Short Sleeve is a typical sleeve length that finishes above the elbow. Patrice’s short-sleeve t-shirt design has a tight fit throughout, so it is definitely a choice for the confident man who wants to show off all of his upper body.

The Cap Sleeve is a style that is cut to fit the shoulders with a shorter sleeve length than a traditional short-sleeved t-shirt. If you’ve got a nice set of shoulders and arms to show off, this is the choice for you. This style draws particular attention to the chest, shoulders and arms.

If you’d like to see these styles in action, head over to our main site and check out the  Tight Black Short Sleeved T-Shirt. It’s sleek, sexy and delightful to the touch!
