The V-Neck is a naturally dressy style. You’ll see this style for men from designers such as Calvin Klein and Giorgio Armani. Some see the v-neck as more of a European style, particularly if it’s form fitting. A slightly looser fit works for a V-Neck as well, so it works for a variety of body types.

The Short Sleeve is a typical sleeve length that finishes above the elbow. Patrice’s short-sleeve t-shirt design has a tight fit throughout, so it is definitely a choice for the confident man who wants to show off all of his upper body.

The Cap Sleeve is a style that is cut to fit the shoulders with a shorter sleeve length than a traditional short-sleeved t-shirt. If you’ve got a nice set of shoulders and arms to show off, this is the choice for you. This style draws particular attention to the chest, shoulders and arms.

We’ve had some comments that we’ve been focusing on women’s clothing and that we don’t have nearly as many articles for our male readers. You’ve spoken and we’ve listened- the next few articles will be decidedly man-focused. (Let us know what you think!)

Here’s a typical scenario: you’re planning a night out at a fetish club and it’s a bit of a challenge to find something stylish enough to meet the dress code but comfortable enough to wear all night in the warmer summer weather. Would you like an easy solution? PVC trousers!

Before you protest, PVC is actually a breathable fabric. It won’t stick to your skin like latex or rubber, and it allows your body to sweat naturally. And the shiny wet look fabric is surprisingly flattering. We haven’t figured it out exactly why it works like this, but it does. Maybe it has to do with the way the light hits your curvy bits, particularly when the trousers are a bit tight!

PVC trousers come in pretty much any style your can find for regular trousers. Skinny fit, boot cut, 501-style – the list goes on. If there is a particular style of trousers that look good on you, start with that style for your first PVC pair. Remember, it’s not a requirement that they be super-tight. They just need to be the right style for your shape. If you’re not sure, it’s always best to try on a number of different styles, experiment and get the opinions of others. And last but definitely not least, be careful to select the right kind of shoes to go with your sexy trousers. Rule number one: no trainers!

The bustier is very similar to the basque, a style we’ve written about on our blog before (the boneless basque and the cupless basque). However the bustier it’s shorter as it only reaches down to the waist. It’s designed to push the breasts upwards like a push-up bra and also to shape the waist. The lacqué bustier is made from a stretchy, comfortable fabric, making it stylish and practical alternative to the basque or corset.

In general, bustiers are less rigid than corsets and basque. They typically do not have the sturdy boning. A bustier can still give good definition to your shape and provide the necessary support, but it won’t be as binding or restricting. For this reason bustiers are becoming a very popular option both as lingerie and everyday outerwear. We all know what a backless dress is so I’m not going to give you a history lesson about it. Suffice to say that right now, the back is the ‘New Cleavage’. And if you’re not getting it out there, you are missing the boat. So repeat after me: ‘Modest in front, sexy in the back!’ That’s right, now go forth and shop!

Now if you’re not quite convinced that you can pull off the look, here are some tips that should change your mind. First of all, you’ll need to choose a style based on what looks best with your body shape. Form fitting or loosely flowing? A wide, deep opening, or a shallower, narrower opening?. Everyone’s body is different and the most important thing is that you feel confident. Also, you’ll want to think about the styling of the front of the dress. Remember, a backless dress is the most striking when there is a contrast between the modesty of the front and the revelation of the back.

Once you’ve started trying on different styles, remember you’re your posture is of extreme importance. Walk with your head held high and your back straight. This can change the whole look of a backless dress. And you can continue to elongate your body by adding a pair of high heels. Another important tip is to take care of your skin. Don’t overdo it with the tanning. All you need to do is to make sure you follow a simple regimen of cleansing and moisturizing.
