See through dress

See through dress

See through dress

See through dresses are usually seriously sexy items for your wardrobe.  They offer glimpses of flesh with the promise of what might be underneath.  Far more mysterious and sexy than having everything on view, in my opinion.

Sheer sleeves offer some protection for older or larger folks who are self conscious about exposing too much above the elbow.  Also the thinner fabrics allow more ventilation too.

Sheer panels or indeed the whole body of the dress can be a little too much for the more conservative dresser but in the fetish or theatrical communities, they are highly regarded as additions to the exhibitionist’s costume.

See through skirts, on the other hand, either with bare legs or leggings under are increasingly popular because they are so forgiving.  On a personal note, I feel much more comfortable with a sexy long dress with a lacy, see through skirt if I wear black leggings underneath.  The Marine dress from Patrice Catanzaro is a good example of what I mean.  The skirt in this dress is tier upon tier of see through lace edged with black satin ribbon on alternate layers.  It is simply stunning.

Patrice has created several designs of see through dresses, some long, some short, some completely see through for example the Kali or some partly see through, the Dzenka.  The long ones are my favourites and the one I like best is the Ophelie which you can see from the picture that it would not look out of place on the red carpet at the Oscars.

High neck, long fitted sleeves and the tight bodice, all of which are totally see through apart from some perfectly placed rows of semi-see-through sequins.  The long laqué skirt, slit to the thigh completes this seriously sexy see through dress.

Tutu Dresses

Tutu Dresses

Tutu Dresses

Ballet began many centuries ago and developed from an amalgam of quality dancing methods throughout Europe. Its principal roots lay in “Court Dancing”, an elite exclusive form of dance presented in the castles of the kings for the entertainment of the nobility

I bet you didn’t know that knickers as we know them today were not invented until late 1800’s. With short dresses and powerful legwork, the mob in the pits below the stage tended to see more, whilst the genteel folk upstairs did not. In order to disguise the under-dress area, the costume makers designed a multi-layered drooping dress with frills that were joined across the bottom. The pit mob called this area of anatomy the “tutu”, and over time the special dress took on the name for the area it was meant to cover. That is the origin of the tutu!

Nowadays you will occasionally see the remnants of the true tutu dress, in the form of frills or ruffles below hip level of the leotard that dancers wear, or perhaps a short soft bell-shaped drooping multi-layered dress. Most tutu’s now have degenerated or evolved (depending on your historical perspective) into a disc of several frilly layers that sticks out horizontally from the dancer’s hips, and has nothing to do with the original reason for which it was designed.

In today’s fashion terms the tutu has been used many times as a more extravagant expression to emphasise the torso and legs. Patrice Catanzaro has taken this style of dress and combined it into a fetish fashion accessory, making the skirt from Laque and Tulle. This is a very feminine and erotic use of the design which is great on the eye, and allows wonderful access if desired.

Catsuits have become an enduring part of the fashion scene, dating back at least as far as the 1940s and are fashioned from a variety of materials usually stretchy ones, including lycra, chiffon, spandex, leather, latex, pvc, and velour. They often have a zip or two, front, back, or both.

Catsuits were occasionally worn as a high fashion item at various times from the 1960s to the 1990s. During the 1970s and 80s they were worn for aerobics and disco dancing. In about 1980 disco dance they briefly became a street fashion item in the UK.

Some people consider them to be fetish fashion and for those occasions are often made of latex or highly shiny PVC, tight fitting and may be (but not exclusively) worn with a corset over the top of the suit. Other materials such as lycra, leather or velvet are choices for fetish wear too, with some lycra materials having animal print designs. Catsuits can have zips on the front, or rear for access with some having zips on the shoulders. Additional zips can be placed in specific areas for access, if required.

A fetish catsuit will not normally have gloves or feet, but would be fitted like socks and gloves will would have individual fingers. You can wear gloves and socks as additional accessories to give a whole body look, with some opting to add a hood too. Instead of gloves you might use bondage mittens, which have a D-ring at the top, and other such catsuits can be used as straightjackets. More extreme bondage options have incorporated monoglove instead of sleeves.

One of the most famous catsuits was worn by Emma Peel, (played by actress Diana Rigg), in the British television show The Avengers. Shirley Bassey wore a sleeveless chiffon catsuit for a gatefold album photograph, and in concert. Cher has also worn catsuits in concert. I suppose one of the more recent, and most famous catsuit examples, was worn by Catwoman,  (Halle Berry) in the Holywood films.  Catsuits will always be in and out of fashion, but one thing is for sure, to wear a Laque or PVC catsuit designed and manufactured by an artist such as the French designer Patrice Catanzaro is a beautiful thing, will make you feel fantastic, and will certainly turn heads.

Laqué boxer shorts

Laqué boxer shorts

Laqué boxer shorts

Why is it so difficult to find sexy underwear, particularly boxer shorts, for men?  You can find the same boring old styles – cotton boxers, cotton briefs or cotton underpants – in every shop and market stall on the high street but you can’t find anything sexy.  I know there are some great designer labels which are so trendy to wear barely hidden under slouchy jeans (I don’t understand why they don’t just put them on over the top of the jeans…) but they are so ordinary.

As the prime watcher of my man wandering around the house in his undies, I want to see him in something sexy not some grey, baggy, nappy-like excuse for knickers!

This was one of the main reasons for choosing Patrice Catanzaro’s collections of clothing.  He understands there is a huge gap in the market for sexy undies and sexy top clothes for guys (of all ages) so he designed some and they are perfect for the job.

His fabrics are particularly suitable because the laqué boxer shorts which are an increasingly popular design are close fitting but the fabric is breathable so it is more comfortable than cotton.  It never goes saggy or baggy – it’s smooth textured so trousers don’t stick to it and ruck up.  It clings like a second skin but is light and stretchy.  Why wouldn’t your man just love it?

Not just the laqué boxer shorts, but Patrice also the makes briefs and thongs in this fabulous fabric.  Sometimes combined with panels of shiny, stretchy PVC they look far too good to hide away so go and get a pair now and see what a difference they make to your everyday pleasure!

Patrice Catanzaro

Patrice Catanzaro

Patrice Catanzaro

Monsieur Patrice Catanzaro, is a Frenchman of Italian descent, living and working in Marseilles, France.  Highly respected and well loved by all in the fashion industry, Patrice has been designing his own collections for the past 20 or so years.

Learning his trade making creations primarily in leather and fur, his love of all things fetish made him look at the fetish fashions available and conclude that the fetish world needed him.  His passion for fine fabrics that fit like a second skin and also his love of the female body led him to begin designing both fetish clothes and the fabric to show them off to their best advantage.

His earlier collections 1 – 3 (called ‘Tomes’ in French) still retained some of the traditional leather shapes but from Tome 4 up to the current Tome 6 collections he has produced some stunningly sexy shapes and designs.  From tight, high necked, long sleeved long dresses to cupless bras and thongs which are hardly more than strips of fabric, he has combined “seriously sexy to faintly fetish” fashions for women of all ages.

The fabric he has designed for his own exclusive use is called ‘laqué’ and it gives his clothes such a special quality, look and feel.  There are many variations of similar fabrics on the market but none of them come close to matching it.  Fine and smooth, stretchy and light, it moulds to your skin and leaves you feeling almost naked – it drapes like raw silk, it breathes, it is washable and any creases drop out almost immediately.

Second Face

Second Face

We have tried to tear it, discolour it in the sun, split the top from the bottom layer but everything fails.  It is truly a supreme fabric.

Not only does Patrice design collections for sexy girls, he has also struggled to find sexy and stylish clothes for guys, both underwear as well as trousers and shirts.  He has succeeded here too!

A gorgeous eyeful of tight boxers and thongs to casual yet smart street wear for the boys.  This collection is called Second Face and has the distinctive logo.
