Well, cupless basques as we know them, have changed over the years from being a garment worn by women warriors of olden days, to a garment designed to get a different reaction from the guys that they meet.
The best-known female warriors of all time, assuming that all of the legends are true, are the Amazons. It is said that they were invincible in battle, and to prove that they were women, and also to intimidate their enemies, wore garments which left their breasts bare.
From an early age Amazons were trained in the arts of war. Some myths and stories say that during adolescence a young Amazon’s right breast would be cauterised or entirely removed by her mother so that once the girl reached adulthood she could wield bows and throw javelins more accurately. I would suggest that thought behind the cupless basque as it is now, is designed more to attract and TITillate the opposite sex, rather then distract them, and cut off their heads, (I hope).
Basques now, are made of all the material available, including the older style in satin, silks and linens, to the more erotic latex, rubber and leather. None of these are as light, and as sexy, as the cupless items of lingerie, designed by the French designer Patrice Catanzaro, and sold by the UK company Libertinesque. (Anais Waspie) The basques and bras are made of a superb fabric, made for Catanzaro exclusively, called Laqué. This is a light, stretchy fabric which gives the appearance of latex, but is non allergenic, breathes, and has none of the storage problems associated with latex.
Whatever the fabric, a lovely lady dressed in a stunning basque, with naked breasts is a hit with me and, I would suggest, with other red blooded heterosexual males and lesbian ladies!! I would even chance the head cutting off thing!!
