Libertinesque provides quality collections of clothing for both men and women. We have spent a great deal of time researching the highest-quality products, and more importantly, finding what we like through our own personal experience. Being interesting and different is important to us, so the clothes we have chosen represent the cream of designer fetish wear. We proudly feature French designer Patrice Catanzaro, whose breathtaking collections are quite irresistible and stylish, yet very burlesque and quite wicked.

We hope you will find the information presented here useful. We welcome your questions, comments and suggestions for new articles. Thank you for visiting us and we hope you will check back often.

Asymmetric Laqué Skirt

There’s definitely a trend for asymmetric skirts and dresses around at the moment http://www.sofeminine.co.uk/fashion-trends/top-10-spring-fashion-trends-d11887c192223.html. Check out the number of celebs who have been seen parading up the red carpet at various glamorous dos lately:

So I though I would take a look at what’s going on with asymmetrical clothes in the rather more black-than-red carpet world of fetish, Goth and clubbing wear. And where better to start than with our own King of Kinky Couture, Patrice Catanzaro, right here at Libertinesque…

Asymmetric Laqué Skirt

Now, the reason for designing clothes that are not quite symmetrical is to make them look unusual and unique – to create something that’s out of the ordinary. And this way of shaping garments works particularly well when it comes to women’s clothing because you can show off a little more of yourself. If there’s only one sleeve in the dress you get to expose the sexy sweep of your bare neck and shoulder; if the hemline curves from long to short you can reveal much more leg than if the skirt was level all the way around – ideal if you’re wearing stockings and killer heels as well!

The different fabrics that Patrice uses for his clothes – the silky stretchy laqué, glossy PVC, supersoft sheer fishnet, and the gossamer-fine tulle – all lend themselves perfectly to this irregular shaping, and he uses each one of them to make really beautiful and individual pieces.

This selection of short laqué dresses:, the long-sleeved zipped Nina with pointed hemline and cuffs, and the Nirina with asymmetric shoulder straps and hem. There’s an even shorter, naughtier version of Nirina (in the lingerie section) with wide suspender straps attached to the curving hemline.

Maybe you fancy something longer, like the up-and-down long laqué Luna skirt? There’s the saucy see-through Milla fishnet top.

So if you want to be super sexy, and on trend, you need look no further than Libertinesque.
